LIME KILN CANYON CLIMBER'S CAMP

Lime Kiln Canyon is a popular rock-climbing area with spectacular, mostly vertical and very technical routes. It's located just outside Mesquite in Nevada. The iconic front wall displays a kaleidoscope of colors and darker spots. Upon closer inspection, you see these dark specks moving about–they are actual rock climbers ascending the sheer vertical rock structure.

A word of warning. You will find access over Lime Kiln Canyon Road very steep and challenging, even using high-clearance 4x4 vehicles or side-by-side ATVs or UTVs. Note, this is a requirement when you take this route. Don't even think about taking your car this way. Yet, for the thrill-seeker this little adventure is well worth your time. Lots of fun in store with this location.

Directions from Aravada Springs

Lime Kiln Canyon Climber's Camp is 15.5 miles, or 55 minutes from Aravada Springs. To get there, you head northwest on Pakoon Springs Rd for 0.4 miles. Then turn right and go 161 feet. Continue straight for another 0.7 miles and continue onto Co Hwy 101 and go 2.6 miles. Take a slight left to stay on Co Hwy 101 and go 5.6 miles. Turn left onto Lime Kiln Canyon Rd and go 4.1 miles. Turn left to stay on Lime Kiln Canyon Rd and go 2.0 miles. You will then reach Lime Kiln Canyon Climber's Camp.
