Aravada Springs – A Cool Way To Spend The Summer
As a mom of three energetic kids, finding ways to beat the summer heat while enjoying the great outdoors can be a challenge. Fortunately, Aravada Springs Campground offers the perfect solution with its refreshing pond, inviting Rock House Lodge, common deck, and cooled cabins. Towering shade trees let us spend time outdoors while staying cool at the same time.
The Pond
The highlight of our stay is undoubtedly the cool pond, where my kids can splash and swim to their hearts’ content. The cool water, fed by 3 of our 9 freshwater springs, provides a refreshing respite from the scorching desert sun. With its standard temperature of 58 degrees the pond is a perfect way to cool off in the afternoons. While the kids play, I can relax on the common deck, basking in the shade of towering trees that also offer a welcome reprieve from the heat.
The Rock House
When we need a break from the sun, the Rock House Lodge beckons us with its inviting ambiance. This spacious gathering place, complete with a petrified wood fireplace and game table, provides a cool and shaded haven for us to gather, play board games, or simply relax together as a family.
The Deck
As the sun sets, we often find ourselves lounging on the common deck, taking in the breathtaking views of the orchards and tepees. The gentle breeze coming off the pond and the sound of rustling leaves creates a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for us to unwind and create lasting memories together.
Cooled Cabins
Our cozy cabin is equipped with a swamp cooler, ensuring a comfortable and cool environment for us to retreat to after a day of outdoor adventures. The swamp cooler’s gentle breeze creates a pleasant atmosphere, allowing us to unwind and recharge for the next day’s activities.
